                    變壓器電源的輸入浪涌電流限制器

  變壓器電源開啟時也會出現輸入浪涌電流。然而,這種輸入浪涌電流的出現原因有所不同。當變壓器電源在正弦輸入電壓的過零點啟動時,變壓器磁芯的磁化在前幾個周期中被迫進入一種不平衡狀態。結果,磁芯在每個半周飽和。此時的勵磁電流只能由微弱的漏電感寄生電阻來限制,導致出現很大的輸入浪涌電流。變壓器電源通常帶有特殊的輸入浪涌電流限制器來保證其在正弦輸入電壓的峰值啟動,以防止出現輸入浪涌電流。而如果在開關電源中也使用這種輸入浪涌電流限制器,則如前文所述,后果恰恰相反,不但起不到限流作用,反而會導致出現峰值輸入浪涌電流。

通過串聯固定電阻器來限制輸入浪涌電流

  這種方法中的固定電阻器一般為功率電阻器。當對電解電容器充電結束后,該固定電阻器則被旁路。繼電器、TRIACS,IGBT,或其它元件可以用來旁路該電阻器。這種方法比用NTC電阻器的成本要高得多,通常用在額定功率高于250W的開關電源中。它的優點則在于限流效果不受環境溫度影響,而且避免了限流電阻器上的功率損耗。
